Ann Alexander Trechak is owner of Sound Health Designs, LLC, a business which
specializes in science based holistic approaches to enhance physical, mental and
emotional coherence for optimal health, productivity and well being.

Ann holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the University of Texas at Austin and
has performed professionally on the French horn for 25 years. She has taught horn
extensively, having served on the adjunct faculties of Wichita State University, Friends
University, Bethel College and Butler County Community College. In 2006, Ann’s
private horn student placed 1st in Horn (3rd in Brass) at the National Music Teachers
Association national competition. For the last twelve years, she has also served as
Manager of the Wichita Symphony Youth Orchestra program, the largest arts education
program in the state of KS. The experiences of performing professionally as well as
coaching many others to optimal performance have greatly enriched her unique
approach to biofeedback with clients at Sound Health Designs.

Ann also holds state certified teaching credentials and was a tenured instrumental
music teacher prior to opening Sound Health Designs, LLC. As a public school teacher,
she made insightful daily observations of the harmful consequences of the cultural
epidemic and common overmedication of children with ADD/ADHD and learning
disabilities. Her creative classroom projects have been presented nationally as models
of interdisciplinary curriculum design. As a multicultural educator, Ann has also served
as the
literary editor of the Kansas National Association for Multicultural Education
(NAME) journal and has also participated on that organization's National Board of
Directors. She has served as an Educational Consultant for internationally acclaimed
pianist
Lorin Hollander and for the Children’s Kindness Network, an educational non-
profit.

Ann has developed a unique approach to neurofeedback, combining emotional,
behavioral and educational modalities. She excels in working with learning challenged
children. Ann has completed BCIA didactic training requirements in Biofeedback and
Neurofeedback and is a licensed provider of
HeartMath and BodyTalk Access.

Ann has been mentored by
Dr. Patricia Norris, a pioneer in the field of
psychoneuroimmunology and biofeedback research with her husband Steven Fahrion
and parents
Drs. Elmer and Alyce Green. Ann practices under the professional
supervision of
Dr. Jonathan Walker, MD. and Richard Hatfield (neurofeedback) and Dr.
Philip Hughes
(biofeedback) and she works in collaboration with Dr. Juan Acosta-
Urquidi
, neurophysiologist and board certified QEEG Technologist.

For recreation, Ann enjoys reading about quantum physics and her greatest delights
are her children Gregory, Julia and David.
