Sound Health Designs, LLC allows physicians and psychological counselors to
bring cutting-edge neurotechnology into their existing practice. Under the
supervision of Ph.D. neurophysiologist and Board Certified QEEG Technologist
Dr. Juan Acosta, we administer QEEG testing. The test results are
electronically delivered to Dr. Jonathan Walker, M.D., neurologist with
Neurotherapy Center of Dallas. Dr. Walker is nationally recognized in the
field, serving as President of the Neurofeedback Section of the Association for
Applied Psychophysiology (AAPB) and also President of the National QEEG
Certification Board.
QEEG testing is an extremely valuable tool for a wide variety of psychological
and neurological disorders, including ADD/ADHD, learning disorders, seizures,
head injury, depression/anxiety, bi-polar/OCD and fibromyalgia/chronic
fatigue. Each of these disorders has a characteristic signature in the EEG
patterns and the Quantitative Analysis allows the physician to know with
certainty where the electrical function of the brain is deviating from normal.
Besides aiding greatly in diagnosis, the QEEG can also help predict which
medications will be most effective for the condition. QEEG testing and
analysis are also for basis for the neurotherapy training protocols created by
Dr. Walker. The Walker Neurotherapy Protocols produce dramatic results.
Sound Health Designs' neurotherapist Ann Trechak has completed Biofeedback
Certification Institute of America (BCIA) didactic training and has completed
her client contact hours in Neurotherapy under the professional supervision of
Dr. Jonathan Walker. Dr. Walker has endorsed the neurotherapy at Sound
Health Designs as being practiced in a manner consistent with the standards
at Neurotherapy Center of Dallas. Ann Trechak can also provide traditional
biofeedback for a wide variety of conditions and practices under the
professional supervision of Philip A. Hughes, Ph.D., in Berkeley, CA. She is
also a licensed HeartMath and BodyTalk Access Provider.
